Calling All Purchasers: Meeting on Dec 14

Theantdaily highlights our plight
However, the article did not carry any comments from either MBSB Development Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of MBSB) or Yeng Chong Realty Sdn Bhd. What we want to know is what has happened to the legal battle between the two parties and the court mediation to thrash out a solution which should include the land purchasers? Each time we called up the lawyer's office handling Yeng Chong's case, we were told that we would see a settlement soon. It has been more than two years since the mediation process started and we are still being told that a solution is in sight.
Hopefully, the latest legal action plan by the seven purchasers would spur the two parties to come up with a solution fast.

Farewell, Fong Muk Sing
Meanwhile, we hope that his children will carry on his fight to get back what was rightfully his.
It looks like another group of buyers, together with their lawyer, are stirring up some action against Yeng Chong Reality Bhd again by alerting the press to talk about their action plan. We should read about it soon as the reporter contacted us and said she would be writing an article about our plight. She has also contacted MBSB and Yeng Chong for their comments.
Hopefully, she has some enlightening news for us although many of us have grown skeptical as we have been promised by Yeng Chong and MBSB that a solution would be in sight many, many times. It has been four years since our demonstration at Yeng Chong's office and we are still waiting. Nothing seems to have come out of our police reports too. The last we heard was the case was with the AG's office.
Hopefully, this new group of purchasers will have some fresh ammunition. They might spur us to renew our fight too. Why should we be cheated of our money and land?

Rest In Peace, Peter
The present committee is looking for new people to take over the fight. To date, we don't know what is happening to the tussle between Yeng Chong and MBSB.
It looks like we are not the only ones caught in this situation. In The Star yesterday (Sept 20), the group that bought land in Batang Kali -- The Genting Valley pro-tem committee -- is still facing difficulties to get their abandoned project revived. See the link: Buyers of Land in Batang Kali
They seem to be getting help from their State Assemblyman and Bank Negara. Perhaps we should do the same. So, we should set up a new committee fast to start the process going.

Just to keep in touch
Sorry for not updating the blog for the last two years! It is just that we have hit a brick wall and some committee members have given up hope of ever getting back the cash or the land. Three other members have also fallen ill and do not have the energy to pursue the cause. We need to pass the baton to other members who are willing to fight the case. We approached the Housing Minister a few months back in an attempt to get the Ministry to take action against the developer and as usual, the Minister said the case was not under their purview. A few purchasers have also taken court action against the developer and have not made any headway. Anyone out there with any ideas? Maybe we should approach the developers again in a big group to demand an explanation.

Calling All Buyers
We really need help here. We need a mandate to move forward in our fight to get back our land or cash. So spread the word to buyers who are unaware of our group and get them to contact the chairman. Time is of the essence as we plan our next move. So we need a final head count before we proceed. Please respond by the first week of October.
