Theantdaily highlights our plight

The article highlighting our case has been published in the online newspaper theantdaily today. Written by reporter Alyaa Alhadri, the article said seven land purchasers were filing a case in court to seek the return of  the money they had paid since 1999.

However, the article did not carry any comments from either MBSB Development Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of MBSB) or Yeng Chong Realty Sdn Bhd. What we want to know is what has happened to the legal battle between the two parties and the court mediation to thrash out a solution which should include the land purchasers? Each time we called up the lawyer's office handling Yeng Chong's case, we were told that we would see a settlement soon. It has been more than two years since the mediation process started and we are still being told that a solution is in sight.

Hopefully, the latest legal action plan by the seven purchasers would spur the two parties to come up with a solution fast.

Farewell, Fong Muk Sing

The BGVAC has lost another committee member. Fong Muk Sing passed away two days ago. We would like to extend our condolences to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.

Meanwhile, we hope that his children will carry on his fight to get back what was rightfully his.

It looks like another group of buyers, together with their lawyer, are stirring up some action against Yeng Chong Reality Bhd again by alerting the press to talk about their action plan. We should read about it soon as the reporter contacted us and said she would be writing an article about our plight. She has also contacted MBSB and Yeng Chong for their comments.

Hopefully, she has some enlightening news for us although many of us have grown skeptical as we have been promised by Yeng Chong and MBSB that a solution would be in sight many, many times. It has been four years since our demonstration at Yeng Chong's office and we are still waiting. Nothing seems to have come out of our police reports too. The last we heard was the case was with the AG's office.

Hopefully, this new group of purchasers will have some fresh ammunition. They might spur us to renew our fight too. Why should we be cheated of our money and land?
